1. Written by Option ***, on 24-07-2008 04:31 My parents who have lived in their home 27 years refinanced and ended up with Option One about 7 years ago. This week they learned that Option One SOLD their mortgage to another company without any warning or any kind of notification. My family continued to pay their monthly mortgage to Option One. The past two payments (June and July) were returned to my parents stating that they were made out for the wrong amount. STILL NO MENTION OF THE MORTGAGE BEING SOLD. Monday, the sheriff came and posted a notice on the home my parents raised us in on the garage door stating they have 5 days to vacate that the house has been sold. So without notice or warning and because Option One FAILED to communicate to my parents the change in mortgage companies and continued to accept payments long after they sold the mortgage but prior to them sending their recent payments back, my parents have LOST the home they worked so hard for and I am going to help them and I am going to fight and do what I have to do to make sure NO ONE has to go through what they are living. They can't start over and buy another home (if this hasn't completely ruined them from getting another home) they would be in their 90's if they took out a 30 yr mortgage now. If anyone has any advice as to how I can fight and/or ruin Option One please let me know.

3. Written by Anna, on 14-06-2008 22:43 Option One mis-manages payments that purposely put us into default. They said they had to use part of our April payment for a shortage on escrow. They received May payment, but filed foreclosure and sent it back! Each customer service rep tells us something diff when we can understand them! They want $10,000...fees and 3 payments...but we sent them those payments!!! How is this happening??? I complained to everyone and now we are going to an attorney. I will be damned if I let those fraudulent SOB's take our home! We were one month behind! I don't know about anyone else but my home is the only thing we have left. If they take it I am not going down without a fight!!! Class Action Suit is the only way. Complain to FTC, BBB, your Attorney General, FBI, Governor's office, etc. I am tired of sharks in this country who take advantage of us hard working American Citizens...and the nerve of them to outsource such an important job. We were told by their reps to buy less food, borrow from family, or take in a renter! (LOL...) What a joke!!!
4. Written by Cody Bedford, on 18-05-2008 19:55 Option one ripped me a new one during my refi i wanted to get 25 thousand to reinvest in my company well they handed me a check for 14,000 and said they would take care of it and suddenly summer that was handling the loan never picked up the phone and the paper work got mysteriosly lost or misplaced the man that came to my house and handed me my paper work and check said id get my other funds after they sorted it out well i never got it and was told take them to court! Class Action sign me up! Ive spent so much money when id get a statement saying payment is one amount you send it in to them and then you get a forclosure letter saying you were not making your payments due to the interest had gone up without your knowledge, so theregoes another thousand dollars to pay to their lawyers, out of maryland which have already been taken to federal court for illegal billing on forclosure charges! No wonder the counrty is in forclosure when you got predatory morgage brokers like option one !

6. Written by allgirlhere, on 30-04-2008 19:42 Option One is a joke!! I'd like to find someone or some office that can take this company out! I never get the same answer twice, no English speaking people, put on hold forever, and still no answers. There has to be some illegal practice here, but how do we find out, and what steps can we take??
7. Written by Re: Option One, have dealt wit, on 29-04-2008 11:30 Let me know if you need somone to help you do a loan modification with these people. Using a 3rd party to negotiate with them is a very affordable and method. You really have to take the emotions out of it, because they really don't give a crap, their paycheck will still be in their accounts at the end of the day.. Lola
